Pricing Philosophy — Objectuve
Objectuve is a Public Benefit Corporation. Our revenue model funds the mission without exploiting users.
Principles
- Never paywall individual features. The free tier is the product, not a funnel. Every individual user gets the full Objectuve experience.
- Never show ads or sell data. User attention and data are not products. Period.
- Teams revenue subsidizes the free individual experience. Organizations that get measurable value (employee wellness, team cohesion, engagement metrics) fund the infrastructure that serves everyone.
- Supporter revenue is a bonus, not a dependency. The Supporter tier exists for users who want to give back. It must never feel required.
- Annual discounts reward commitment. Users who commit annually get meaningful savings.
- Transparency. As a PBC, we are transparent about our costs and how revenue is used.
Tiers
Free (Individuals)
Price: $0, forever.
Full-featured goal tracking, habit streaks, XP, badges, ranks, AI coaching, communities, accountability partners, mood logging, and everything else in the individual experience. No feature gates, no trial periods, no "premium" upsells.
Why: Objectuve exists to help people achieve their goals. Putting a price on individual progress would undermine the mission. The majority (~80%+) of users will be individuals, and they should never feel like second-class citizens.
Supporter
Price: $4/month or $35/year (~27% annual savings).
An optional tier for individuals who want to support the Objectuve mission. All perks are cosmetic — there is zero functional advantage over the free tier.
Current perks:
- Custom app themes
- Supporter badge on profile
- Early access to new features
Future perks (as community grows):
- Physical merch (t-shirts, stickers)
- Exclusive cosmetic badge designs
- Supporter-only community events
Rules: Supporter perks must always remain cosmetic and community-building. They must never provide a functional advantage. If a feature helps users achieve their goals, it belongs in the free tier.
Lifetime Supporter
Price: $99+ (one-time, user sets their own amount above the $99 floor).
A one-time contribution for users who want to make a lasting investment in the Objectuve mission. Designed for "super supporters" who believe in what we're building and want to show it permanently.
Perks (all cosmetic, same rules as Supporter):
- Everything in the Supporter tier, permanently
- Exclusive "Lifetime Supporter" badge (Legendary rarity)
- Permanent Lifetime Supporter profile indicator
- Name listed on a public "Founding Supporters" acknowledgment page (opt-in)
Rules: Same as Supporter — all perks are cosmetic. Lifetime status never expires. The variable pricing above $99 is a gesture of mission alignment, not a premium tier.
Teams
Price: $9/user/month or $90/user/year (~17% annual savings).
Collaboration features designed for organizations — workplaces, schools, clubs, coaching groups — where group accountability and admin visibility create measurable value.
Includes everything in Free, plus:
- Team leaderboards with points engine
- Custom badges and challenges (admin-defined)
- Team admin dashboard and analytics
- Team goals with collective progress tracking
- Accountability pair auto-matching
- Manager view (bird's-eye of all members)
- Private team communities with invite management
- SSO/SAML integration (enterprise)
- Slack/Microsoft Teams integration
- Priority support (< 4 hour response SLA)
- CSV export of team activity data
Billing model: Seat-based. The community creator is the billing owner. Managed via Clerk Billing.
Revenue Model
Individual users (free) ──── value: personal growth
│
├── Some become Supporters ($4/mo) ──── value: mission alignment + cosmetic perks
│
├── Some become Lifetime Supporters ($99+ one-time) ──── value: permanent mission investment
│
└── Some join Teams ($9/user/mo) ──── value: organizational accountability + analytics
│
└── Teams revenue funds infrastructure for all usersThe model is sustainable because:
- Infrastructure costs per user decrease at scale
- Teams provide predictable, recurring revenue with low churn (organizational commitment)
- Supporter revenue provides supplemental income without creating feature inequality
- No customer acquisition cost for paid tiers — organic conversion from free users who see value
What We Will Never Do
- Gate individual features behind a paywall
- Show advertisements
- Sell or monetize user data
- Use dark patterns to pressure upgrades
- Make the free experience feel incomplete
- Create FOMO around paid features
- Charge for features that help individuals achieve their goals
